Lagos Island Local Government Vocational Education Institute Hosts Seminar on Entrepreneurial Ethics and Social Responsibility

The Lagos Island Local Government Vocational Education Institute, under the distinguished leadership of the Lord Mayor of Lagos Island Local Government, Hon. Prince Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan, successfully held an insightful and interactive seminar titled “Entrepreneurial Ethics and Social Responsibility.”
The seminar engaged learners in a comprehensive discussion covering key thematic areas such as:
Key Principles of Entrepreneurial Ethics
Importance of Ethical Entrepreneurship
Dimensions of Entrepreneurial Social Responsibility
Challenges in Practicing Ethical and Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship
Strategies for Promoting Ethics and Social Responsibility in Business
The session was designed to equip learners with the mindset and competencies required to navigate real-world business environments responsibly and sustainably. It emphasized the balance between business objectives (economic goals), stakeholder obligations (including investors, suppliers, customers, regulators, and society), and environmental stewardship.
This initiative reinforces the institute’s commitment to producing highly skilled, ethically grounded, and innovative professionals who will contribute meaningfully to the development of Lagos Island and Lagos State at large through vocational excellence.
The seminar was expertly facilitated by the Principal of the Institute, Dr. Abiola Agboola, whose insightful guidance enriched the learning experience and inspired participants toward responsible and impactful entrepreneurship.
